  About Us

We here at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church gathered for the first time on the 4th of July weekend in 2005 for Mass at Gretchen Reeder Elementary School. This first gathering consisted of approximately 75 families. Since then we have steadily grown to our current membership of approximately 445 families.

During the last four years we have completed the parish rectory which not only provides housing for the pastor but also contains our parish offices on the lower level and a chapel in the second garage. We are currently in the process of building our parish center and gymnasium which will be located on 20 acres of land on the corner of 192nd & Chandler Street. Our hope is to celebrate Mass in our new facility in the spring of 2010.

We feel our greatest accomplishment is the development of a great spirit of Christian community among our members. We strive to live our mission statement. To be Christ for one another living the command of Jesus: “As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how we all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34b,35 (New American Bible).

We are a very young parish with many young parents and very young children but we also have a solid base of more senior couples who help to give our community a foundation of strength and maturity. If you are interested in becoming a member we would love to have you become a part of this dynamic community and would ask that you call the rectory at 916-9730 for further information.

    St. Charles Prayer

Heavenly Father,

With the psalmist we proclaim, “Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build.”

Joining hand and heart to build St. Charles Borromeo Church, we ask you to bless and sanctify our labor. Help us to mold our parish into a community that manifests the love of Christ to all people. As we set stone upon sacred stone, fashion for us and for our children a lasting monument to our faith, our dreams, our labor, and our love.

With gratitude for the indwelling presence of your Holy Spirit, we invoke our patron, St. Charles Borromeo, who exhorted us to pray before, during and after all things we do.

To God be the glory, in His Church and in Christ Jesus, for all generations!

Amen
