Our goal is to provide a safe place for women and men to feel supported and find resources when going through the difficulties of pregnancy/infant loss and infertility.

What we do:

    • Care packages can be requested via the link below

    • Care package contents may vary but generally include care items such as a mini prayer shawl, candle, journal, rosary and other items.

    • Care packages are not limited to those in active crisis/loss.  We understand that sometimes infertility can be particularly painful following medical news or at certain times of the year.  These are valid reasons to request a care package also.

    • For those who may be miscarrying at home, we do have some containers to aid in collection of remains if desired.  Please indicate in the request form if interested in including this in a care package.

    • Care packages can be delivered or picked up from St. Charles.

    • Meals can be requested via the link below.

    • Requests for a meal train will be forwarded on to the meal train coordinator at St. Charles Borromeo for organization.

    • The coordinator will work with a small group of parishioners to provide the meal train to respect the privacy of the recipient.

    • Prayers can be requested via the link below.

    • Prayer requests will only be shared with the core team members of OLS to respect privacy.

    • We will host gatherings for pro-life or other baby events such as All Souls Day, Mass on Feast of Holy Innocents, etc.

    • Support group to be starting soon.

    • Each year, we will offer a mass for our littlest saints and for those who experienced loss or who are dealing with infertility.

FAQs

    • At times, it is difficult or not possible to collect remains.  That is OKAY!  If you are able to collect remains, they can be buried in a cemetery or other plot that a priest blesses.  Catholic Cemeteries of Omaha has a twice yearly free interment for those that would prefer that option.  The main thing is to treat the remains with the respect they are due since they were a human life like any other person to die.  There are also funeral homes that will provide services for free for families experiencing pregnancy loss.

    • A memorial/funeral mass can be held for the miscarried baby even if remains are not able to be present.

    • Alternatively, Fr. Jeff is able to do private blessings or to pray with your family as needed.  Speak to a priest for further info!
