On June 11th, the Vigil of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Bishops of the United States will consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we commemorate our 250th anniversary as an independent nation. The Bishops have invited all parishes to join in this consecration. We at St. Charles intend to do so, and I would like to extend this invitation even further: I invite every parishioner to consecrate his or her own home and household to the Lord’s Sacred Heart.
